1.0 REFERENCES

l l 1-A CP-QP-2.1, " Training of Inspection Personnel" l 2.0 GENERAL The purpose of this procedure is to set forth the minimum requirements for training, qualificaton and certification for personnel perfonning tes ting duties at CPSES for the Construction QA organization.

3.2 QA TEST INSPECTOR FUNCTIONS (LEVEL II) 7 1

Test QC Inspectors shall be certified, where applicable, in accordance with Reference 1-A. The Inspector shall possess sufficient knowledge of the material, equipraent and test cri teria to satisfactorily complete the tes t. Typical duties perfonned shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

a. Collection of material used in the test;
b. Assembly of test apparatus; ,

i c. Machine set-up;

d. Manipulation of equipment necessary to conduct the tes t;
e. Collection or analysis of raw test data, and;
f. Preparation of initial test reports.

3.3 QA TEST ENGINEER (LEVEL !!)

The QA Tes t Engineer shall have the requisite education i

and job knowledge to satisfactorily prepare, conduct and analyze test data to determine product quality. Typical 4

1 duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

a. Definition of required tests;
b. Test plan preparation;
c. Direction of test Technicians and Inspectors;

d. Performance of Engineering calculations;

f. Preparation of formal reports.

3.4 CERTIFICATION

The certification of test personnel shall be documented per i

Reference 1-A. The period of certification shall be for three years.
