PERRY 1 EXEMPTION FROM APPENDIX J CONTAINt!ENT AIRLOCK TESTING REQUIREMENTS I have been advised by ELD (Joe Gray) that a revision to 10 CFR 50.12 of the regulations, regarding specific exemptions, becones effective on January 13, 1986.
A copy of this revision, as was published in the Federal Register on December 12, 1985, is enclosed.

PERRY 1 EXEMPTION FROM APPENDIX J CONTAINMENT AIRLOCK TESTING REQUIREMENTS I have been advised by ELD (Joe Gray) that a revision to 10 CFR 50.12 of the regulations, regarding specific exemptions, becomes effective on January 13, 1986.
A copy of this revision, as was published in the Federal Register on December 12, 1985, is enclosed.
Since Perry 1 licensing will not occur before January 13, 1986, we are required to re-review our previous action and technical evaluation, which granted CEI an exemption from the containment airlock testing requirement of Paragraph III.D.2(b)(ii) of Appendix J, to address the "s in the enclosure (10 CFR 50.12(2)(1) thru (vi))pecial .
