Dear Lt. Col. ver Albano:
It seems a long time ago since our discussions and tour of U.S. nuclear waste facilities this past June. I am sure you are quite busy these days with your nuclear power program as it develops. s As a followup to your delegation's visit and in response to individual requests, I have sent packages of documents to Remendios Savellano, Rafael Rueda, and I hope these have been received. able to obtain the topographical maps of the Barnwell and Oak Ridge nuclear waste sites that Roland Almem and Hareto Gler had asked me to send. Please tell them from me that I regret the amount of time it has taken and that I 4 will continue trying to obtain these maps. The enclosed report DRNL-5880, l, " Incentives and the Siting of Radioactive Maste Facilities," should be useful to Ms. Savellano. Has the team written .its recomendations on a site and policy? Please do not hesitate to write if there are any questions that NRC can assist with.
I have also enclosed a Delta Air Lines letter to you concerning your application
.' for a refund. I have talked with them on the telephone and had them explain the o fare structure used for your tickets, It was complicated, but as they state in i their letter, and I can agree with them, "the value of the transportation used
was the same as the amount paid." If you have any questions concerning their decision I will forward them to Delta.
U I read in the newspaper the other day that President Marcos was hospitalized for pneumonia following a severe cold. I hope his health has now improved.
