Dear Dr. Bartolome:

This is to respond to your letter dated February 7,1983.

The supplement numbers identified in the Introduction on page 1 of NUREG-0940 refer to an activity area of an enforcement action. The supplement numbers do not refer to additional published reports. NRC does have documentation related to each individual enforcement action.

However, it is unlikely that the documentation would be compiled and published. This documentation is generally included in the docket file for the plant and individual documents are listed in NUREG-0540 as the document is put in the docket file.

1 am enclosing a copy of a general statement of policy which more fully discusses the seven supplements on page 9990.

Many of the Enforcement Actions listed in NUREG-0940 are the result of events which licensees report to NRC as Licensee Event Reports, LERs. The LERs are compiled and published in NUREG/CR-2000 which I believe you are currently receiving.

Both NUREG-0540 and NUREG/CR-2000 have indexes to assist users in finding documentation on subjects of interest.

Please contact me if you are interested in obtaining individual documents listed in NUREG-0540 or infomation related to Enforcement Actions listed in NUREG-0940.
