I am a high school graduate with two years of college.
I have 10 worked on construction for 21 years, and welded mostly for 15 11 years.
I was with Daniel Construction Company from 1962 to 1977.
12 I have attended courses for welding inspection, RT safety, MT 13 inspection, PT inspection and the HP Safety course.
I have been 14 working for Duke since 1977.
During this time, I worked at the 15 Cherokee station from 1977 until September
- 1981, when I
16 transferred to Catawba.

Although I did not come to Catawba until late 1981, I am generally 5
aware of these concerns.

Although I had no concerns, it was my understanding that others were concerned about disagreements between welding inspectors and 9
10 higher supervision, higher than their immediate supervisor.
