1. Scope / Purpose

J The purpose of this project is to review those aspects of the Shoreham PRA 1 leading to the estimates of the f requencies of the accident sequences re-1 s'ulting in a " core vulnerable" state and to determine the accuracy of these fj estimates, l

] 2. Schedule / Milestones A letter of the findings will be submitted to NRC at the completion of each l

task according to the following schedule.

Task 1: Draf t Report 10/15/84

o. Task 2: Questions to the Applicant 11/31/83 il Task 3: Final Report Two months af ter receiving final j comments by NRC and licensee.

{ The quantitative review of the LOOP time-phased event trees was completed.

The reviews ATWS of event trees and Reactor Water Level Instrument Failure

event trees are in progress. One chapter of the draft report was prepared.

Several others will be prepared next month.

4. Problems and Delays By agreement with NRR, the completion date for Task 1 has been set at C October 15, 1984. A one month extension is asked for completion of Task 1.

5. Next Reporting Period

The review of the Shoreham PRA will continue until the end of next month.
