'j 1. Scope / Purpose The purpose of this project is to review those aspects of the Shoreham PRA leading to the estimates of the frequencies of the accident sequences re-sulting in a " core vulnerable" state and to determine the accuracy of these estimates.

2. Schedule / Milestones A letter of the findings will be submitted to NRC at the completion of each task according to the following schedule.

l Task 1: Draft Report 4 /15/ 84

Task 2
Questions to the Applicant 11/31/83
Task 3
Final Report Two months after receiving final j comments by NRC and licensee.
3. Progress to Date The quantitative review of event trees contined. The core damage tree for the LOSP event is under development and quantification using the SETS code,

! has been initiated. Core damage trees for other transient events are under

~! development.

' !. A final report for the review of the Shoreham Internal Flood PRA was com-pleted and submitted to NRC.

l

4. Problems and Delays Owing to delays caused by the extra time devoted to the review of the

" flood-initiator", the diversion of key personnel's time to other RRAB projects with higher priority and the lack of response to our Q-1 questions, the completion date for Task I must be redefined.

2 1 There is still a competing demand for the time of the key personnel by other RRAB projects of higher priority (FIN A-3366 and A-3758). It is, therefore, proposed to stop work on the Shoreham PRA for a period of six 3

weeks resume work on or about June 15, 1984 and complete Task l'by

September 30, 1984.

5. Next Reporting Period o No work is planned for next reporting period.
