t 15 DG FUNCT10!l_CliECKQVI 1.0 PURPOSE This temporary procedure is required to functionally test each Diesel Generator following the "Second EOC Diesel Generator checkout" procedure.

Since ESFAS will be accomplished prior to the maintenance checkout, it will be required to perform this procedure to provide reasonable assurance that the Diesel Generator System is prepared and capable of performing its intended standby power function before declaring it operable.

2.0 PRECAUTIONS AND LIMITATIONS 2.1-This procedure shall be performed by the Responsible Test Engineer (RTE) under the authority and support of the Unit Shift Supervisor (USS) and operations Department.

2.2 The USS and RTE constitute the required level of management supervision needed for performance of this procedure.

2.3 The necessary Technical Support required for the conduct of this procedure will be available as required.

2.4 This procedure, once begun, shall be carried through to completion of each train, unless it is stopped by conditions which the Shitt Supervisor or RTE find sufficient to stop the tests.

2.5 This procedure will be performed in coordination with Section 4.47 of Procedure 28713-1 and Procedures 54719-1 for Train A and 54720-1 for Train B.

2.6 Required communications will be established per Procedure 28713-1.

DG FUNCTION CHECKOUT 1.0 PURPOSE This temporary procedure is required to functionally test each Diesel Generator following the "Second EOC Diesel Generator Checkout" procedure.

Since ESFAS will be-accomplished prior to the maintenance checkout, it will be required to perform this procedure to provide reasonable assurance that the Diesel Generator System is prepared and capable of performing its intended standby power function before declaring it operable.

2.0 PRECAUTIONS AND LIMITATIOLS 2.1 This procedure shall be performed'by the Responsible Test Engineer (RTE) under the authority and support of the Unit Shift Supervisor (USS) and Operations Department.

2.2 The USS and RTE constitute the required level of management supervision needed for performance of this procedure.

2.3-The necessary Technical Support required for the conduct of this procedure will be available as required.

2.4 This procedure, once begun, shall be carried through to comp 14 tion-of each train, unless it is stopped by conditions which the Shift Supervisor or-RTE find sufficient to stop the tests.

2.5 This procedure will be performed in coordination with Section 4.47 of Procedure 28713 and Procedures 54719-1 for Train A and 54720-1 for Train B.
