1975, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with accepted radiological safety practices and your written ecenniement as follows:

Accepted radiological safety practices dictate that any instrument I
l used for the protection of individuals against radiation be routinely calibrated to ensure accuracy including 11amarity seroes all scales over which the instrument may be used. This practice is discussed among other places in ICRU No. 20, Chapter IV, Introduction.
However, you calibrate all of your survey instruments, except for the PIC.6A, by checking only one point on each range scale, regardless j
of how many ranges are used.

A written commitment dated October 30, 1973, to the Director, Directorate of Reguistory Operations stated, in part, that all -
- M personnel portable survey imetruments would be calibrated quarterly.
j However, you failed to calibrate 14 personnel portable survey instruments within the last quarterly period.
