Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
]
Subject:
Oyster Cree'k Staticn Docket No. 50-219 Response to DRO Bulletin No. 74-15 This is in response to DRO Bulletin No. 74-15 dated December 6, 1974 which alerted us to the possibility of difficultier vamiting from the use of Cutler-Hammer three position maintained switches, Model No. 10250T.
Switches of this specific type are not utilized at our Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. We do utilize General Electric, six position, Model No. SB1FB6A635R type switches which function similarly to the subject Cutler-Hammer switches.
It is possible for our General Electric switches to be positioned such that it is between modes.
However, unlike the Cutler-Hammer switch which exhibits a " dead" area between modes, tests at our facility have shown that this will cause actuation of an alarm in the General Electric switches.
Th eefore, since our switches do not show similar malfunctioning as described in the bulletin, no further action is planned on our part.
Y truly yours,
