l Oyster Creek informed me on January 9,15rTS, of their plans to begin I.

spent fuel shipments starting the week of January 13 Spent fuel bundles f

will be shipped via Tri-State Motors to EPS in New York. Oyster Creek is plannino two shipments every three days. The licensee was advisea to make state notification tith respect to shipments and routes. The cask is projected for arrival on 1/13/75 The first shipment coula conceivably taxe place on 1/14/75, but the shakeaown problems I would not expect any movement off site prior to 1/16.

i I also contacted the DL Project Manader regaraing any Linensing holds with respect to the cask drop system and safety evaluation. DL will advise RO:I redarding this matter. Projects will conduct a special inspection to observe initial shipment, verify procedures, and observe conauct' of operations and to develop a standaraised inspection plan for subsequent RO:I usage.
