Dear hlr. Lear:
'd/
SUBJECT:
Oyster Creek Nuc1 car Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Suppression Pool Dynamic Phenomena The following is to supplement our response, dated Flay 6,1975, to your Ictter of April 17, 1975. Our blay 6,1975 letter stated that within 60 days of that date we would submit the details of the tentative program, i.e., the Long Term Program, outlined in that letter, h'c also stated that by August 4,1975 we would submit an evaluation of the Oyster. Creek containment configuration, i.e., the Short Term Program, based on currently availabic data to assure you that the integrity and safety performance of the Oyster Creek containment are maintained under 14CA conditions.
These programs are being directed by General Elcetric as an agent for the utilitics having b! ark I containments. A Ictter from bir. I. F. Stuart of General Elcetric to bfr. R. L. Tedesco of the NRC, dated June 13, 1975, discusses the current status of these programs and proposes meetings with the NRC staff to discuss in detail the Short Term Program and the development of the details of the Long Term Program.
For reasons dis-cussed in that letter, we will be unable to meet the commitments made in our letter dated biay 6, 1975.
It is our intention to make the Oyster Creek submittal in a time frame consistent with the General Electric program and our internal review requirements.
Very truly yours, dij'//.
