. By letter dated April 1, 1974, we requested that.you (1) perforu an

inspection-'for inverted poison tubes in your control rods, and-(2) perform an analysis of the potential effect of B C compaction in the 4

inverted tubes that will remain in the Oyster Creek reactor.

- Your semi-annual report.No.12 for the period January. through June,1975, states that the inspection of all control rods was comp 1.cted during your April - May 1975 refueling outage.

In discussions with your staff, we have been informed that the General Electric Company has provided you with an inspection report and an analysis of the effect of the inverted poison tubes that remain in the Oyster Crech reactor.

In order that we may schedule the completion of our review of this generic concern, we request that you inform us by January 12, 1976, of the date that you intend to submit this report.
