Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 I 6 E Inspection Report No. 50-219/75-24 This letter is in reply to Mr. P. R. Nelson's letter of January 14, 1976 regarding the inspection conducted by Mr. Plumice on October 30 and 31, and November 5,1975 at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station.

In response to Item A of Appendix A of Mr. Nelson's letter, which involved the violation of Technical Specification Section 6.2.B.2, we wish to advise you of the following corrective action.

The corrective steps taken were to immediately lock the door and to instruct the individuals who left the door open of the requirements for main-taining locked doors at entrance to high radiation areas in excess of one rem per hour. The shift foremen were advised to reiterate to all personnel who 1

have access to high radiation areas the necessity and the importance of adhering to the requirements pertaining to these areas.

All persons involved acknowledged their understanding of the instructions given.

It is felt that the corrective action described above which was completed on November 6, 1975, will avoid further items of non-compliance of the type identified.
