l received a call from Mr. Finfrock, Vice President for Operations, JCP&L, on Wednesday,-January 9,1974. Mr. Finfrock said he was just leaving to go to Court to answer a Writ of injuction from the State of New Jersey regarding the State's attempt to prevent them from shutting down the Nuclear Power Plant. This subject is covered in other correspondence; however, it does relate to the possibility of a significant " fish kill" of menhaddenfish if the plant shuts down and in effect causes the water. In Oyster Creek to cool down to approximately.37 - a temperature that insures 100% mortality 0
cimenhadden fish. Mr. Finfrock said they were coming down for safety reasons and c!so to conduct some plant repairs and modificottons to permit operations at $o OkD Cottnk electric higher than their monimum output.
Mr. Finfrock sold that he would call me after his "doy in court".
