The, subject. inspection report is forwarded for your information.

The. actions taken by JCP&L'ere considered appropriate with respect

to the failures discussed in the subject report. . We continue to have

concerns relative to the absence of check valves for the instrument

air lines, the existing instrument air systen surveillance progran,

-and the long range adequacy of the main; steam isolation valve hydraulic

. cylinder " cushion spuds". .These matters will be given additional

-

consideration during future inspections.
