OYSTER CREEK - BWR

The subject inspection report is forwarded for action.

A documentation letter

has been issued to the licensee by this office.

Action is requested on the following matters:

1.

Either an interim or full term Environmental Technical Specification

for Oyster Creek be issued in view of the prolonged delays and

slippage concerning the full term operating license.

2.

DL establish a schedule coordinated with the licensee, initiating a

JCP&L course of action designed to mitigate and correct the ecological

consequences of:

,

a)

{WM

fish mortalities resulting from winter shutdown and to be

implemented by the fall of 1974;

b)

,

erosion of the banks along the influent canal and resultant siiting

problems.

(The effluent canal is also subject to erosion.)
