Dear Mr. Ziemann:

Subject:

Oyster Creek Station Docket No. 50-219 u_L Dynamic Effect of Relief Valve Blowdown on Torus Structure Your letter dated December 19, 1973, indicated that the Regulatory Staff is presently reviewing the analysis of the subject effect presented in General Electric Company Report NEDC-10859 dated April 1973.

In this regard, you requested additional information relating to our facility in order to supple-ment the information in the General Electric Report.

We responded on Janu-ary 18, 1974, with a report which presented data which you requested on relief valve operation at Oyster Creek'.

Since the General Electric Company is presently preparing a supplement to in-clude the Oyster Creek facility torus design for the NEDO-10859 Report, we are unable at this time to respond to your request for a proposed Technical Specification for Limiting Condition of Operation and Surveillance Require-ments to the torus structure. The General Electric supplement is scheduled for completion by the end of July 1974.

Upon receipt of this information, the requested Technical Specification will be formulated, reviewed by the Plant Operations Review Committee and the General Office Review Board, and submitted by the end of September 1974.

Enclosed are forty copies of this letter.

Very truly yours,

()ff k
