OYSTER CREEK (DN 50-219)

I received a call from Mr. Stu Rose of the '*frontonian" newspaper, Trenton,

'New Jersey, regarding 1/11/74 shutdown at Oyster Creek. Mr. Rose was

interested in whether or not unidentified leakage. problems were precipated

,.

by some overt act on the part of JCP&L or an individual. I described T.S..

'

requirements, etc., in detail and Mr. Rose appeared satisfied. He specifically

asked if I had physically examined any leaking valves. I replied in the

negative (drywell had not been opened at conclusion of the inspection). I

agreed to furnish Rose a copy of report 50-219/74-01 and the associated A0

report concerning snubber inspections.
