Dear Mr. Giambusso:

Subject:

Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Operating Status The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the present operating status of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station with respect to the.

requircuents of 10Ci:R50.46.

As indicated in my letter of August 5,1974, the station will be operated by the more limiting of the existing Technical Speci-fications or the then presented preliminary results of the LOCA analysis.

Subsequent to that letter an.! our later submittal of the preliminary LOC.\\

analysis on August 22, 1974, Exxon Nuclear revised certain features of its model.

'lhis revision resulted in lowering of allowable heat rates as snown in the attached Figure 1.

The limitations shown in Figure 2 are now in use at the Oyster Creek site.

h'e will continue to keep you informed as more refined analyses become availabic.

Very trul'y yours, Ghi.?'
