(Reference - memorandum Brunner to Thornburg dated February 6, 1974 and O'Reilly to Davis dated June 6, 1974.)

Subsequent to these requests, additional public attention has been focused concerning the shipworm problem, PUC reports and the purported plight of raarina' operators in this area.

Earring changes in the current schedule concerning required shutdos. ins for neicnic shock suppressor inspectionsjan outage will comence in mid March 1975 and, predictably, fish kills will occur.

Although Ecgion I will continue to respond to winter incidents, we con-tinue to believe that issuance of Environmental Technical Specifications in 1974 is warranted, necessary and in the best interests of,the Commission.
