I would like to inform you that the United States Atomic Energy Commissica (the staff) is making an i
ovaluation of this icpset in our detailed Environmental Statomaat for the Oyster Crook Huc1 car Generating Station.
!j The Environmental Statement is being prepared in accordance with the Comiission's regulations,10 CFR Part S0, Appendix D, implementing the requirements of tha Mational Enviror. mental Policy Act of 1959 (iEPA) as part of the staff's evaluation of the application of Jersey Central i
Pocrar and Light Company for a full term operating license for the i.
Oyster Crcoh Huclear Generating Station. The Draft Environmental Statement is presently scheduled for issuance in June 1973. A notice i
of an opportunity for a public hearing with respect to the issuance of the full term operating license for tha Oyster Croch Nuclear Generating i
Station uns published in the Federal Register on November 23,1972 (37 F.R. 2S190).
In addition, the AEC's Directorate of Regulatory Operations has prepared reports on the January 1972 and Daccaber 1972 fish kills in Oyster Creek.
These reports are available in the Commission's Public Documcat Room, j
