signature copice of the. subject change request.

This change would permit the use of the XN-1 Critical Heat Flux Correlation for the determination of safety limits for operation of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station in order to provide a high level of confidence that a minitaam critical heat flux ratio greater than unity, will be maintained under all conditions of reactor operation.

A detailed discussion of this correlation has been submitted to the Commission by Exxon Nuclear in the Topical Report JN-72-18, August 1,1972.

. In accordance with Technical Specification requirements 6.1.C.1.d.3 and 6.1.C.2.d.1, this proposed change has been reviewed by the Plant Operations Review Committee and the General Office Review Board and bears the approval of both bodies.
