E. M. Howard, Chief, Facilities Construction & Engineering Support Branch Directorate of Regulatory Operations, Region I EVALUATION MEMORANDUM Mr. Sanders and I conducted an inspection at the Klockner plant in Osnabruck, Germany on April 9 and 10, 1973.
As you would expect, Klockner appears to be guilty of the same prac-tice as KSB and suppliers in the USA of meeting the tr.inimal code require-ments and believing this is adequate.
I recommend a continuing audit of Klockner on a twice yearly basis at least, and probably more often if they get the contract for the 24 addi-tional pump casing for SKK.
