"'/J JUN 191973 Memo to File JERSEY CENTRAL POWER & LIGHT CO:fPANY OYSTER CREEK CHROMATE WATER SPILL (IR 219/73-06Q)
Mr. Bradshore of New Jersey Public Utility Commission called on 5/25/73 about Inquiry Report 219/73-06Q and the significance of less than 0.1 ppm chromate in water and soil samples.
I informed him that JCP&L considered this the lower limit of detectability and we did not consider this a problem. The soil under the tank truck was drummed until a sample showed less than 0.1 ppm.
46 drums were collected.
Ik. Bradshore stated that he would suggest to Jersey Central that they make a press release showing that the chromate water and soil were collected and that there was no problam.
