OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION POST LOCA HYDROGEN CONTROL Your letter of August 31, 1973 requested detailed. design information i
on the primary and backup systems to be installed,at the Oyster Creek Station for the control of combustible gases after a loss of coolant accident. You further requested our schedule for completing the designs and supplying the information prior to September 17, 1973.
As you know, the design and engineering effort associated with such modifications is an extensive project requiring the services of an outside i
engineering firm. Once selection of the engineering firm has taken place, a schedule must be developed considering its resources as well as those of JCP&L and GPU Service Corporation.
The selection of an engineering firm, the planning and the scheduling of this type of project will take several weeks., Therefore, we intend to submit to the Commission our plans and schedules for this design and engineering effort during the week of October 15, 1973.
