03/21/96 In response to a call from Kent Prendergast of R-IV, we reviewed the information concerning a Nordion Model 365 (or F-365) source changer.

From the information in the Nordion Model C-990 source assembly registration certificate (NR-0220-S-110-S dated 02/13/95) and background file,. it. was determined that. Nordion purchases SPEC C-1 source changers and redistributes them as a Model 365 source changer to fit their C-990 source assembly.

The C-990 registration certificate approves-the 365 and the C-1 for use with the C-990.

Based on this, he have updated RADXREF to include the NORDION Model 365 changer /NORDION Model C-990 source and the SPEC C-1 changer /NORDION Model C-990 source as approved pairs.

There was no certificate issued for the NORDION 365 changer.

Based on the fact that the SPEC C-1 and the NORDION 365 are identical, the NORDION 365 has been listed in RADXREF as Part 34 compatible.

I reviewed this with Tom Rich and he is in agreement.
