Dear Dr. O' Leary:

Reference (1) stated that the tendered application for a permit to construct the WPPSS Nuclear Project No. 1, submivted by the Washington Public Power Supply System on July 16, 1973, with additional information submitted on October I,1973, was suf ficiently complete to docket.

Therefore, the Supply System herewith transmits the following documents: t Twenty-Eight (28) copies of the Application and Anti-Trust Information, including three (3) signed and notarized originals (1 volume).

Seventy-Three (73) copies of the PSAR (7 volumes per set).

Two-Hundred (200) copies of the ER (i volume per set).  ;

The submission of these documents and the appIIcation fee previously submitted on August 7, 1973, constitutes the Washington PublIc Power Supply System application for: 1) a 40-year Class 103 license to con-struct and operate a nuclear power plant at its WPPSS Nuclear Project No. 1 Site, and 2) appropriate source, by-product and special nuclear material licenses for the project.

WPPSS currently owns and operates the steam-electric generating plant known as Hanford Number One, which will be utilized in this project.

WPPSS Nuclear Project No. I will replace the Nuclear Steam Supply now provided by the AEC owned New Production Reactor (NPR or N-Reactor), and add a topping turbine to'the existing low pressure turbines of Hanford Number One.

Reference (2) requested additional copies of information supplied by WPPSS in support of our response to item 9 of the Anti-Trust Information.

in Reference (3), WPPSS'provided the information requested. In addition, the Application and Anti-Trust Information included with this transmittal has been modified to include the Information within the volume. Therefore, the Application and Anti-Trust information now being transmitted differs from that submitted with the tendered application in this regard.
