AMENDMENT NO. 39 TO WPPSS NUCLEAR PROJECTS NOS. 3 & 5 LICENSE APPLICATION

Dear Mr. Parr:

The Washington Public Power Supply System is transmitting herewith three notarized originals and 15 copies of Amendment No. 39 to the WPPSS Nuclear Projects Nos. 3 & 5 License Application.

Consistent with your request, this amendment to the License Application has been numbered sequentially

(

with amendments to the PSAR.

However, this amendment constitutes the second amendment to the General Information portions of the License Application.

This Amendment includes an update of the General Information portion of the License Application and provides additional information concerning WNP-5 contractual arranaements.

As required by 10 CFR 2.101 and 10 CFR 50.30 (c) (2), copies of this amend-ment will be served on Mr. John Pearsall, Chairman, Grays Harbor County Commissioner, the Montesano Washington Public Library and on members of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board assigned to the WNP-3 and WNP-5 Projects.
