AMENDMENT 1 TO THE FORMAL APPLICATION
Dear Mr. Giambusso:
In accordance with ICCFR Part 50, Wasnington Public Power Supply System
("WPPSS") herewith submits 48 copies of Amendment i;o.1 to the WPPSS l:ueieir Project No.1 ("WiP-1") formal application (i.e., the 10CFR 50.33 and 50.F/
information) fcr Class 103 licenses to construct and operate the UNP-i 10:ility.

The purpose of Amendment No.1 is to include proposed WPPSS Nuclear Froien No. 4 ("WNP-4") in the application for concurrent AEC review with hM?-1.

this regard, the Executive Committee of WPFSS adopted a plan and system resolution on ' July 12, 1974, authorizing the sut.nission of this emendment to address the construction of WHP-4 in conjunction with and at the same site as NNP-1, as relocated.
On July 15, 1974, we submitted Amendment No. 1 to the Environmental Report
("ER") which revised the ER to provide revised information occasioned by the relocation of E;P-1 and the addition of its " twin", WNP-4.
Likewise, the Preliminary Safety Analysis Rep (ort ("PSAR") was amended on l'a 31, 1974 (Amendment No. 7) and July 1, 1974 Amendment No. 8) to address the relocation of WNP-1 and toe construction of WNP-4 in conjunction with W:iP-1.
The remaining amendnent of the PSAR relative to relocation and the addition;l unit will be filed on or about August 8,1974.
As described in the PSAR, the only systems which will be shared between WSP-1 and WNP-4 are the off-site electrical system, the cooling tower make-up and blowdown systems and the reteorological monitoring system (also to be shared with WNP-2 (formerly Hanford 2)).
