MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE SUPPLEMENT The, Joint Intervenors hereby move this Board for leave to file the attached Supplement to their pending Motion to Augment or, in the Alternative, to Reopen the Record (" Motion to Augment").

On February 14, 1984, the Joint Intervenors filed the above-referenced Motion to Augment. After receiving responses, this Board issued ALAB-763, but deferred a ruling on the Joint Intervenors' motion. One week later, the directly relevant

.information on which this Supplement is based was disclosed by the principal NRC Staff inspector assigned to investigate the allegations of former Diablo Canyon Project engineer Charles Stokes. Thus, it could not have been provided to this Board in our initial motion papers.

Consequently, this filing is plainly relevant and timely and should be considered by this Board in its review of the pending motion.
