333 Mamaroneck Avenue PMB 293 White Plains, NY, 10605 Email: info@aamw.com Organization: African American Men of Westchester General Comment As the president of the African American Men of Westchester, I am writing to support the License Transfer Application that has been filed with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) by Entergy and Holtec to transfer Indian Point and its Nuclear Decommissioning Trust funds to Holtec after the last unit permanently shuts down by April 30, 2021.

Indian Points closure, with its profound consequences for the City of Peekskill and surrounding towns and villages, will hit the African-American community particularly hard. The jobs, wages, revenues, and economic vitality that Indian Point has ensured have been especially important for African-Americans for whom access to the opportunities provided by a plant such as Indian Point can be more challenging.

Therefore, for our community, its particularly urgent that the transfer of Indian Points license to Holtec be accomplished. This companys unique combination of capabilities, experience, and innovation will speed the recovery of the Indian Point site by decadesfrom a projected completion in the 2080s, should Entergy continued to own the site, to the 2030s.

Page 2 of 2 The faster Indian Point returns to productive purposes, the more robust will be the prospects for the community I represent to prosper in good local jobs, schools, businesses, and community institutions. Weve made great progress in the more than 50 years since Indian Point was established. Please do all you can to ensure that we have the best possible chance of continuing to rise in a vibrant Hudson Valley.
