The Commission, by a vote of 5-0, approved an Order directing,

1. the Department of Energy for itself and en behalf of its

• co-applicants to respond to allegations in a petition for investigation which has been filed by NRDC on the Sierra Club, the response to be provided to the Commission by the close of business Wednesday, July 28, 1982.

2. the NRC staff to respond to several questions raised in the Order.

(Subsequently, the Order was signed by the Secretary on July 21, 1982.)
