UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL

Gallina which documents the findings of his visit to the U.S. Army Materials and Mechanics Research Center in Watertown, Massachusetts on Warca s, is// and a subsequent telepnane conversation with the Savannah River Laboratory on March 10, 1977.

Based on the results of the above items, it appears that there is no unauthorized possession of radioactive material at the above location but rather a misunderstanding concerning the meaning of serial /model numbers.

Region I plans no further action in this matter and by this memo, considers this track item closed. I have been informed, however, that a full byproduct material inspection is scheduled to be conducted at this facility in the next two to three months. Q,.,
