In accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Parts 50.4 and 50.54(p), the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) hereby submits the original and three copies to the USNRC Document Control Desk and two copies to U.S.
NRC Region 1 of: Revision 2 to the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station Security Plan for Long Term Defueled Condition, Fuel Storage in the Spent Fuel Pool; the amended Safeguards Contingency Plan, ,
Revision 6; and the amended Security Training and Qualification Plan, Revision 6. The revision to the Security Plan was prepared to reflect changes in the plant configuration which have resulted .
from decommissioning activities. The revision to the Safeguards Contingency Plan and Security Training and Qualification Plan'was prepared to conform with the Security Plan revision. LIPA has determined that these revisions do not decrease the effectiveness of the plans; therefore, these revisions will be.made effective July 15, 1993.
A description of the changes associated with the revised plans is provided as Attachment 1 to each plan. All safeguards
-capabilities specified in the plans are available and functional; conforming revisions to detailed procedures were developed; and 9 appropriate personnel have been trained to respond to safeguards f #q incidents as outlined in the revised plans and as specified in ' s/
