r Containment Air Lock Inoperable

'ONDITIONS PRIOR TO OCCURRENCE:

idode 3 DESCRIPTION OF OCCURRENCE:

While performing a routine surveillance SP(O) 4.6.1.3 of the 100' Containment Air Lock, it was determined the leak rate exceeded its Technical Specification limit of 0.05 La at a design pressure of 47.0 psig.

At 0415 hours0.0048 days <br />0.115 hours <br />6.861772e-4 weeks <br />1.579075e-4 months <br />, Action Statement 3.6.1.3 was entered which requires with an air lock inoperable, restore the air lock to operable status within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> or be in at least Hot Standby within the next 6 hours6.944444e-5 days <br />0.00167 hours <br />9.920635e-6 weeks <br />2.283e-6 months <br /> and in Cold Shutdown within the following 30 hours3.472222e-4 days <br />0.00833 hours <br />4.960317e-5 weeks <br />1.1415e-5 months <br />.

DESIGNATION OF APPARENT CAUSE OF OCCURRENCE:

The inner door seal would not hold pressure.

ANALYSIS OF OCCURRENCE:

Upon investigation, it was determined the inner door seal had popped out of its channel and so could not maintain pressure.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

The seals on the inner door were adjusted and tested satisfactorily.

Action Statement 3.6.1.3 was terminated at 0537 hours0.00622 days <br />0.149 hours <br />8.878968e-4 weeks <br />2.043285e-4 months <br /> on December 20, 1980.
