' APPLICANT'S ANSWER TO THE MOTICI: OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS TO SUPPLEMENT THE HEARING RECORD ON THE ISSUE OF NEED FOR POWER

Pursuant to 10 CFR $ 2.730, the Applicant answers the Motion of the Ccamonwealth of Massachusetts to Supplement the Hearing Record en the Issue of Need for Power as follows:

1. The Applicant has no objection to the inclusion of the EECO 1980-89 and NEPCOL 1980-95 energy and peak demand forecasts as exhibits in the evidentiary record.

2. In raicing no objection, the Applicant does not wish to be understood as concurring in the Conmonwealth's supererog-atory characterizations of, or conclusiens with respect to, the documents or the other superfluous rhetoric apparently designed to justify the untimeliness of the motion.

3. The applicant, to the full extent permitted by law, reserves the right to oppose any future attempt by any party to reopen the evidentiary hearing on this matter and the right to submit further supplemental information as it becomes avail-able.
