LER CONTINUATION -- RO# 1-79-33 Facility: BSEP Unit #1 Event Date 5/13/79 Attachment The results of P.T.

1.11 on May 12, 1979, at 0810 hours0.00938 days
0.225 hours
0.00134 weeks
3.08205e-4 months
were as follows:

Therm:il power.

............ 98.2%

CPRRAT 0.964 (margin to limit 3.6%)

MAPRAT 0.877 (margin to MAPLIIGR limit 12.3%)

MLilGR 12.0Kw/ft.

MLIIGR limit 13.4Kw/ft.

CMPF 2.179 CMPF limit 2.45 Reactor power had been constant at approximately 987. for several days.

During the approximately 36-hour period, between ccmputer P.T.

1.11 programs, no power flow or control rod changes were made, except a normal flow reduction for stop, control, and intermediate control valve testing. When it was established at 0800 hours0.00926 days
0.222 hours
0.00132 weeks
3.044e-4 months
on May 13, 1979, that the computer would he down for several hours, power was reduced to 93% to increase conservatism.

At 2000 hours0.0231 days
0.556 hours
0.00331 weeks
7.61e-4 months
on ?!ay 13, 1979, the computer was returned to service, and P.T.

1.11 was satisfactorily completed, with the following results:

Thermal power.

92.8%

CPRRAf 0.919 (nnrgin to limit 8.1%)

MAPRAT 0.826 (margin to MAPLHGR limit 17.4%)

MLl!GR II.3Kw/ft.

MLHGR limit 13.4Kw/ft.

_2_

Cf!PF 2.170 2.45 CMPF limit With the May 12, 1979, results and the power history known, it can be reasonably concluded that the unit was operating with a safe margin at 0800 hours0.00926 days
0.222 hours
0.00132 weeks
3.044e-4 months
on tlay 13, 1979. With the 5% power reduction and the May 13, 1979, results, it can be reasonably concluded that no limits were reached.
