DOCKET NO. 50-333 ATTACHMENT TO LER 79-034/03L-0 Page 1 of 1 While in a cold shutdown condition, during a review of procedures being conducted by an NRC Inspector, the Inspector determined that the data sheets associated with Instrument Surveillance Procedure F-ISP-4.5 titled "Drywell-Suppression Chamber Differential Pressure" had not been revised as part of a procedure revision which changed the instruments calibrated range.

A revision to the procedure had changed the range of the instrument from 0 to 20 psia to 10 to 19 psia. Immediately following discovery, the instrument was recalibrated and the procedure revised to correct the deficiency. Calibra-tion revealed that preceeding tests on the instrument had been conducted properly, that is, the instrument was properly calibrated. Technical Specification Appendix A, Paragraph 6.8 6 requires the implementation of procedures to control surveillance tests and certain other work. Contrary to these requirements, the earlier conduct of the surveillance test requiremeats satisfied by F-ISP-4.5 was performed with a procedure data sheet and instrument scale that indicated the instrument range was 0 to 20 psia while in fact the calibrated full scale range of the instrument was 10 to 19 psia.

As indicated above, since the instrument was in calibration the event did not represent any hazard to the public health and safety.

In an effort to preclude similar events in the future, Instrumentation and Control personnel will be counseled in adhering to the plants procedural requirements for procedure revisions.
