This office has received a copy of your October 27, 1978 application which you filed with the Office of fluclear Reactor Regulation.

The application requested eight Technical Specification changes identified therein as items A through H for Beaver Valley Unit fio. 1, Facility License No. DPR-66.

Your a splication was accompanied by a Class IV fee of $12,300 because you deternined that it included several safety issues.

From ( ur preliminary review of your application, we have determined that it in tolves the following fee classes.

The references below correspond to tFase used in your application:

Items A, B, D and E of your application are each considered to involve a separate and single safety issue and as such have been collectively categorized as requiring a Class IV fee of $12,300, 2.

Item C has been determined to involve consideration of several safety issues and also has been categorized as requiring a Class IV fee of

$12,300, 3.

Item F has been determined to involve an 6dministrative action that requires a Class II fee of $1,200, 4.

Since, in most cases, the NRR Staff will be making the Item G Technical Specification wording changes in the context of existing requests for amendments and the remaining wording changes are not essential at this time and can be made in the context of future requests for amendments, no fee is considered appropriate for this item, and 5.

Since item H is to correct an error made by NRC, it is not subject to a fee.

Fees are payable to the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission by check, draft, or money order.

If after the final reviews of the several requested changes are completed it is determined that any of the actions were incorrectly classified, you will be refunded any over-charges or billed for any additional amount due.
