FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT DOCKET NO. 50-333 ATTACHMENT TO LER 79-079/0lT-0 Page 1 of 1 During normal operation on October 10, 1979, as a result of the pipe stress re-analysis being conducted by the Architect Engineer, the plant staff was notified that a pipe support associated with the "B" Emergency Service Water System was considered inoperable in accordance with the requirements of the August 14, 1979 letter lif ting the Show Cause Order of March 13, 1979 and Technical Specifications Appendix A, Paragraph 3. ll .D.2. Specifically, support H15-7 was considered in-operable as set forth in the August 14, 1979 l e t te r.

Based on preliminary load information received September 28, 1979, the exist-ing support was upgraded. Since final loads are less than or equal to the pre-liminary loads, the support, as modified, is fully acceptable and the system is currently operable.

Modification was completed prior to receipt of the final loads therefore no surveillance testing of redundant components was required by Technical Specifica-tions and the event did not represent any significant hazard to the public health and safety.
