Containment Air Lock Inoperable CONDITIONS PRIOR TO OCCURRENCE:

Mode 3 DESCRIPTION OF OCCURRENCE:

While performing a routine surveillance of the 130' containment air lock, it was determined the leak rate exceeded its Technical Specification limit of 0.05 La at a design pressure of 47.0 psig.

At 1320 hours0.0153 days <br />0.367 hours <br />0.00218 weeks <br />5.0226e-4 months <br />, Action Statement 3.6.1.3 was entered which requires with an air lock inoperable, restore the air lock to operable status within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> or be in at least Hot Standby within the next 6 hours6.944444e-5 days <br />0.00167 hours <br />9.920635e-6 weeks <br />2.283e-6 months <br /> and in Cold Shutdown within the following 30 hours3.472222e-4 days <br />0.00833 hours <br />4.960317e-5 weeks <br />1.1415e-5 months <br />.

DESIGNATION OF APPARENT CAUSE OF OCCURRENCE:

The inner door seal would not hold pressure.

ANALYSIS OF OCCURRENCE:

Upon investigation, it was determined the inner door seal was popped out of its channel so it would not maintain pressure.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

The.seals on the inner door were reversed, adjusted and tested satisfactorily.

The Action Statement was terminated at 2245 hours0.026 days <br />0.624 hours <br />0.00371 weeks <br />8.542225e-4 months <br /> on June 8, 1980.
