PURPOSE This procedure provides actions to respond to a S/G high level condition and to address the S/G overfill concern.

IP S/G NARROW RANGE LEVEL HAS INCREASED TO GREATER THAN 90X [85X ADVERSE CNMT], THEN AN EVALUATION SHOULD BE MADE FOR S/G OVERFILL CONSIDERATIONS.

STEAM SHOULD NOT BE RELEASED FROM ANY S/G WITH LEVEL GREATER THAN 90%

o Throughout this procedure, "affected" refers to any S/G in which narrow range level is greater than 67X.

o Adverse CNMT values should be used whenever CNMT pressure is greater than 4 psig or CNMT radiation is greater than 10-

~ R/hr.

1 Identify Affected S/G(s):

a.

Narrow range level - GREATER THAN 67X

a. IF less than 67X in all S/Gs, THEN return to procedure and step in effect.

2 Verify FW Isolation To Affected S/G(s):

a.

MFW pumps - TRIPPED b.

MPW flow control valve(s)-

CLOSED

MPW regulating valve(s)

MFW bypass valve(s) c.

MPW pump discharge valve(s)-

CLOSED

a. Trip MFW pumps.
b. Manually close valves.
c. Manually close valves.
d. Verify both S/G pressures-GREATER THAN CONDENSATE HEADER PRESSURE
d. Stop any running condensate pumps.

Stop pumps feeding affected S/G(s).

~ MOV-4008 and AOV-4481, MDAPW pump

~ AOV-4298, TDAFW pump

~ MOV-9701B, SAPW pump 4

Check Affected S/G(s)

Level:

a. Narrow range level - LESS THAN 90X [85X adverse CNMT]
b. Narrow range level - DECREASING
c. Control APW flow to maintain narrow range level between 17X

[25X adverse CNMT] and 39%

d. Return to procedure and step in effect a.

NOT, THEN go to E-3, STEAM GENERATOR TUBE RUPTURE, Step 1.

8 Establish Blowdown From Affected S/G(s):

a. Reset SI and CI
b. Reset XY relays for affected S/G blowdown valves
c. Place blowdown key switch for affected S/G to defeat
d. Verify S/G blowdown valves-OPEN
e. Dispatch AO to establish blowdown to condenser or flash
tank, as desired (Refer to T-14F, STEAM GENERATOR BLOWDOWN SYSTEM STARTUP) 9 Return To Procedure And Step In Effect
