SUBJECT:
REQUEST FOR HEARING IN THE MATTER OF ENTERGY NUCLEAR OPERATIONS, INC., VERMONT YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER STATION, DOCKET NO. 50-271-LA-3 The Office of the Secretary has received a petition to intervene and request for hearing from the State of Vermont. The request was filed in response to a notice issued by the NRC Staff that provided an opportunity for a hearing on the license amendment application request of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, located in Vernon, Vermont. The notice was published in the Federal Register at 80 Fed. Reg. 08355, Biweekly Notice; Applications and Amendments to Facility Operating Licenses and Combined Licenses Involving No Significant Hazards Considerations, dated February 17, 2015. The request was timely filed via the EIE on April 20, 2015.
The initial request for hearing is located in ADAMS and on the Electronic Hearing Docket under accession number ML15111A087. The request for hearing and accompanying declarations and exhibits can be found as a package under accession number ML15110A484 in ADAMS.
This matter is being referred to you for appropriate action in accordance with 10 C.F.R. 2.346(i).
