"At approximately 0915 EDT on March 27th, 2014, one live Atlantic Sturgeon was removed from the Circulating Water System (CWS) Intake trash racks at the Salem Generating Station.

Atlantic Sturgeons are federally listed as endangered species under the Endangered Species Act on 1973, as amended. Nuclear Environmental Affairs has made a determination that this is a 4 hour4.62963e-5 days <br />0.00111 hours <br />6.613757e-6 weeks <br />1.522e-6 months <br /> report to the NRC under RAL 11.8.2.a. At approximately 0930 EDT the sturgeon was released back into the Delaware River.

"A report was made to the National Marine Fisheries at 1026 EDT and the NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife at 1031 EDT, concerning the Atlantic sturgeon by Environmental Licensing."
