NRC - Columbia Generating Station license renewal information

Jamie, We spoke today about how the intake structure at Columbia Generating Station was considered by the NRC in the environmental review for license renewal.

I recommend reviewing Seciion III in the enclosure of this 12/20/11 letter from the NRC to NMFS because it directly addresses that topic.

Here is a link to the main website with information related to the NRC's review of the Columbia Generating Station license renewal application:

http://www.nrc.qov/reactors/operating/licensing/renewal/applications/columbia.html

... and here is a link to the final version of the EIS supplement:

http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-collections/nureqs/staff/srl437/supplement47/

Section 4.7.1 in Volume 1 discusses the evaluation of impacts to aquatic species. Also, Appendix D-1 in Volume 2 is a combined biological assessment and essential fish habitat assessment.

I have copied Briana Balsam and Dennis Logan on this e-mail. They are available for any follow-up questions you may have about this.
