REVISION OF SCHEDULE FOR THE CONDUCT OF REVIEW OF THE GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION, AND PROJECT MANAGER CHANGE (TAC NO. ME 7493)

Dear Mr. Mulligan:

By letter dated October 28, 2011, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy), submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 51 and 10 CFR Part 54, to renew the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (GGNS), operating license NPF-29, for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This letter is to inform you of a change in the safety review schedule for the GGNS license renewal review.

The NRC staff requires additional time to accommodate the uncertainty associated with the review and resolution of issues regarding GGNS Neutron Fluence analyses. The remaining safety review milestones have been revised to a to-be-determined status. The staff will continue to work to determine a process for resolution if the issue and will then re-establish safety review milestones.

This letter also provides notification of a change to the Safety Project Manager assigned to the GGNS license renewal review. Effective May 21, 2013, Mr. John Daily will be the Safety Project Manager for GGNS.
