NRC-2012-0246-DRAFT-0090 Comment on FR Doc # 2012-26295 2 FT C2 3 Submitter Information Name: Alisa Eilenberg Address: -0 3006 Arlington Ave.Bronx, NY, 10463 C~))General Comment 1. This complex review, so critical to the safety and survival of') local populations around nuclear plants, deserves sufficient time to explore the issues. I understand 1\ that seven years would allow for this review to take place adequately.

A rushed S review of a few months will clearly be inadequate and unacceptable and not in the best interests of our citizens.2. A thorough exploration of long-term repercussions for nuclear storage is needed. This should involve in-depth examination of technical issues, such as vulnerability of storage structures, potential for accidents, deterioration over time. All possible lessons that can be learned from the Fukushima disaster must be applied to this review, so as to spare us from similar horror.3. This analysis is critical before any plant can be relicensed.

Our health and survival depend on the integrity and thoroughness of this examination.

4. 1 live not far from Indian Point, where waste pools have leaked nuclear waste into groundwater and the Hudson River. This unfortified structure has to potential to be a terror target. These are additional issues to be examined in the course of this study. Please do your utmost to employ the above strategies in order to protect this generation and the future generations from the potential harm of radiation exposures.
