NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION PUBLIC MEETING WITH EXELON GENERATION COMPANY, LLC, TO DISCUSS PEACH BOTTOM REQUEST FOR EXEMPTION FROM TITLE 10 OF THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 50, APPENDIX R, SECTION III.G

Dear Dr. Johnsrud:

I was informed by our Peach Bottom project manager, John Hughey, about the difficulties you experienced while attempting to attend the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staffs public meeting with Exelon Generation Company, LLC, on November 5, 2008. Mr. Hughey relayed your disappointment at having missed the meeting, especially after traveling some 200 miles to participate.

I understand that circumstances were such that you were unable to arrive at the start of the meeting and it was concluded by the time you were escorted to the meeting location. I regret the inconvenience you experienced and hope that Mr. Hugheys review of the meeting with you helped to salvage, to some degree, your effort to attend.
