Fwd: Salem/Hope Creek Management Meeting 3/18/04 On Thursday, March 18th there will be a management meeting at Salem and Hope Creek (off site location) to discuss PSEG's response to our January 28, 2004, letter on the work environment (SCWE) at Artificial Island. Although DLPM is considering a moratorium on travel to sites, I believe that it would be a good idea to have an NRR presence (PM, others?) at the meeting. I understand that Dave Lochbaum and Norm Cohen of UNPLUG Salem have indicated that they will be there. The meeting begins at 2:00 p.m.,

and should end at a reasonable time so as to avoid the need for obtaining hotel accomodations, etc.

Also, as an FYI, Region I informed us that the SCWE alleger has indicated that he/she will likely "go public at a protest meeting scheduled for March 28th. The alleger has indicated that he/she is planning to speak at the protest, and possibly call for the resignation of -8 members of PSEG management. The alleger also provided some additional comments yesterday specific to the surveys PSEG is conducting and Region I may be considering additional follow-up as they continue their special review/ investigation.

Needless to say, things will be getting very interesting at Arificial Island over the next few we'eks....
